WindSurfing

Windsurfing activities are organized on an informal basis on the bay in front of the club whenever wind and weather conditions permit.  Novices who want to get started windsurfing should seek out Ralph Perlberger, Steve Vail or Rolf Ohlaussen on the bayfront whenever the wind is blowing.  Later in the season we will organize some formal windsurfing events.

The club has boards and rigs and they are available for general use, so you now have four sail sizes ranging from 4.5 to 6.8 m to choose from.  The land trainer is set up on the beach.

Donations

Donations of sailing equipment to the Club are greatly appreciated.  However, the Club can not accept all equipment offered to it.  The Club has limited space to store boats and equipment, so acquisition of new equipment often means displacing other equipment.  Donated equipment has occasionally proved to be unseaworthy, posing a disposal problem for the Club.  Those wishing to donate sailboats and other sailing hardware must get prior approval from the Fleet Captain.
